| Geography and Biology Trip to Woburn Safari Park |
| The Year 8 trip to Woburn started with a very interesting talk on illegal trafficking of animals and the extensive use of animals for medicine. The girls were outraged at the way animals were being so badly treated and the brutal killing that was taking place. On the bus ride through the park they saw bears, wolves, lions, tigers, rhino, wilder beast, giraffe, monkeys and elephants. It was interesting to see a young wolf trying to play with one of the large brown bears. |

The pride of lions was feeding on a whole deer as one had unfortunately been killed in the deer park by a car earlier that day. Staff encourage this as it helps the animals to experience the feeding hierarchy that would exist in the wild. Following the obligatory trip to the gift shop we they finished off with a very entertaining and informative parrot show and of course the penguins were a big hit
