The girls in years 7,8 and 9 have a double lesson of ICT per week. They
learn how to use a variety of different applications. Forms are split into
smaller groups so that everyone can have a computer to themselves. Older
girls can choose to study ICT at GCSE and beyond.
Curriculum
Years 7 - 8
During these two years the
girls study touch typing, word processing, the Internet, Logo, Computer
Control, Spreadsheets, Databases and Web Page design.
Year 9
Year 9 learn how to use
PowerPoint and Publisher, the two remaining applications of MS Office.
GCSE
We offer Edexcel
GCSE in ICT. This course consists of four pieces of coursework that are
worth 60% and a theory paper worth 40%.
