Psychology Department (AS/A2)

Mr. Klidzia teaches both AS and A2 Psychology. Both courses are demanding at an intellectual and an emotional level. They provide a framework for personal development of the students who take the course, as well as significantly contributing to the career prospects of students. Students learn about how to deal with stress in their personal and working lives. They learn about the nature of relationships and gain an understanding of the diversity of human experience.

Psychology has an increasingly important and extensive place in the work place. Employers seek the kinds of skills that the course promotes including effective group work skills, presentation skills, lateral thinking, and writing coherently about complex issues. These skills are also an essential part of most undergraduate degree courses.
