Educational Trips
The ESOL Department undertakes educational trips for our students. Below is a year 9 ESOL students account of their trip to Kensington Garden and related places of interest.
On 14th March, the ESOL students went to Kensington Garden and The Royal Albert Hall. For some students it was the first time on the London Underground.

In Kensington Gardens, firstly we saw the Albert Memorial. It was very big. There is a statue of Albert, who was the husband of Queen Victoria, made of gold in the middle, surrounded by four other statues. These represent Africa, America, Asia and Europe. I thought the statue of Albert was too shiny, but very realistic. The African camel was very realistic too, it looked like concrete had been poured over it

Next we saw the Diana Memorial Fountain. I thought it would be a small statue with water coming out, but it wasn’t. It was a circular fountain which looked liked a river. It was peaceful. We also saw the bronze Peter Pan statue. I thought that Peter Pan would be taller than me, but he’s quite short.

Then we went to the Royal Albert Hall to see Classical Spectacular by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. They played famous pieces with a laser and light show which was fantastic. The conductor was very funny. We all had a great time.
