| Welcome to the ICT Department |
| The girls in years 7, 8 and 9 have
a double lesson of ICT per week. They learn how
to use a variety of different applications. Forms
are split into smaller groups so that everyone can
have a computer to themselves. Older girls can choose
to study ICT at GCSE and beyond. |
| Curriculum |
Years 7 - 8
During these two years the girls
study touch typing, word processing, the Internet,
Logo, Computer Control, Spreadsheets, Databases
and Web Page design. |
Year 9
Year 9 learn how to use PowerPoint
and Publisher, the two remaining applications of
MS Office. |
GCSE
We offer Edexcel GCSE in ICT. This
course consists of four pieces of coursework that
are worth 60% and a theory paper worth 40%. |
