Welcome to the Mount School Library
Introduction
Please collect for us...
Sainsburys will be issuing their vouchers from 11 Feb to 3 June (one for every £10 you spend). We'll have a box in the Library and one in the PE Department so please fill them up!

We are still collecting the Times Books for Schools vouchers and the Nestle Box Tops for Books so please keep them coming into school too – they really do help.
Staff: Mrs N Ransley BA (Hons), MA - School Librarian

The Mount School Library, in the old carriage house, is a calm and bright space to research and study, catch up on the news, play a board game with your friends, find a DVD to take home for the evening – or simply to curl up with a good book.

We have a broad collection of fiction and non-fiction books – from specialised research material for sixth formers through to the latest information books and picture books for the youngest Junior girls. The collection is constantly updated, with new titles arriving throughout the school term often in response to suggestions from students as well as teaching staff. The Library is arranged on 2 levels with separate Junior and Senior areas.

The Library is open from 8.15 am to 4.30 pm each day of the term and the qualified Librarian is there full-time to help students find the information they need or advise on a book to read. The Junior classes have a weekly visit with their teacher and the incoming Year 7s have a short programme of Library lessons to introduce them to library use and research skills.
