Choosing the right Sixth Form for your A-Level studies can make a real difference to your happiness, examination success and university prospects.  Attending the Sixth Form at the Mount will give you the opportunity to develop the independence, motivation and intellectual self-confidence you will need to meet the challenges - and enjoy the freedoms! - of university life.

The small teaching groups you will work in at the Mount are an excellent preparation for university classes and will teach you how to get the best out of your tutorials. The support you will receive from our committed and experienced teachers, and the Sixth Form Tutors, will help you secure the best grades of which you are able and help you follow your ideal route into Higher Education.

Outside of the classroom you will have many opportunities to contribute to the wider life of the school and play a leading role in the school community. The range of extracurricular opportunities available to you will help you to develop as a person and explore new interests, and our continually developing pastoral programme will help to equip you with the skills and knowledge you will need to succeed in the wider world.
AQA Extended Project Qualification

At the end of Year 12 The Mount School provides the opportunity to work  towards the AQA’s Extended Project Qualification.  Successfully completing this can contribute towards your university applications and enables girls to show the self-motivation and intellectual curiosity admissions tutors are looking for.
