Code of Conduct Policy
Staff and pupils have the right to work in a safe, secure and respectful community. As members of the school community, we share a responsibility for the good name of the School. The policy is designed to help everyone meet these aims and objectives.

We aim to work in partnership with pupils to:
  • encourage pupils to respect themselves and others;
  • develop pupils’ sense of responsibility for themselves and their environment;
  • foster and develop co-operative behaviour;
  • maintain an environment that is safe, secure and promotes efficient learning.
We will achieve this by:
  • promoting a sense of an individual’s worth to the community;
  • creating an atmosphere in which pupils feel they are listened to and where incidents are dealt with fairly and promptly;
  • encouraging everybody to show high standards of courtesy and conduct towards each other;
  • looking after classrooms, school buildings and equipment with everyone involved in their upkeep;
  • recognising and rewarding achievements of all kinds;
  • ensuring everyone understands and values the system of rewards and sanctions;
  • ensuring sanctions are clearly, fairly and consistently given and recorded;
  • consulting with parents and notifying them promptly of any concerns;
  • involving support agencies when they are needed.
