Scholarships Policy
The Mount School awards scholarships at two stages in the Senior School to recognise academic excellence. Scholarships are not awarded for the Junior School. The details of these scholarship awards are as follows:
Year 7

Academic Scholarships are awarded to girls who achieve the highest scores in our entrance exam papers. These scholarships apply until the end of year 9 and will be up to a maximum of 20% of fees, to be distributed at the Headteacher's discretion.

Music Scholarships are awarded by the Director of Music. Applicants must have a minimum of grade 4 in an instrument of their choice. Candidates for these scholarships will need to attend a music assessment. Two scholarships will be awarded and will apply until the end of year 9. Music Scholars will be expected to be a member of the school Orchestra.


Year 10

Academic scholarships are awarded to the top scorers in the end of year 9 exams. These scholarships are valid until the end of year 11 and will be up to a maximum of 20% of fees, to be distributed at the Headteacher's discretion.

Music Scholarships are awarded to two girls at the discretion of the Director of Music. Applicants must have a minimum of grade 6 in an instrument of their choice.  These scholarships are valid until the end of year 11.

The school also offers Means-Tested Bursaries that are covered by our Means-Tested Bursaries Policy.
