The Mount School Inspection 2007
by the Independent Schools Inspectorate
The Mount School of Mill Hill has
received a positive report following its inspection in the spring of
2007. The school is successful in its aims to provide “high
standards of learning experiences for all pupils” and “outstanding
pastoral care”, according to the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
Particular strengths highlighted by the report included:

“Pupils’ attainment in GCSE is
high in relation to their abilities”

“High standards are achieved
at every stage”

“Relationships [between staff
and pupils] are very positive and a high level of care is
provided”
-
“Pupils demonstrate high
levels of spiritual, moral, social and cultural development”
-
“Provision for pupils with
learning difficulties or who are learning English as an
additional language is strong”
-
“The range of extra-curricular
activities has increased significantly”
-
“The [extra-curricular
activity] programme is well organised and is considerably
enjoyed by pupils”
-
“since the previous
inspection…[the school] has improved significantly”
The Inspectorate was further
impressed by “the multicultural aspects of the school [which] are
beneficial to all pupils.” They noted that “the pupils are happy
pupils who are proud of their school.”
Following this
inspection, the Mount School will move forward with its ambitious
development programme, including the expansion of school facilities
and investment in information technology, and further exploit
assessment data to improve the individual learning experience of
each pupil
